The passenger

He stepped out of the compartment, stretched and looked all around. There were men, women, children everywhere. Some were running carrying heavy bags, others trying to get on the train, while some were trying to get out of it.
He moved aside, firmly holding on to the suitcase that held all that he owned. He stood there as if trying to decide what to do next. After a long time, he shrugged and started walking. It was the first day of the rest of his life.
